Renovations - Renovations - Renovations

There are many types of renovations. I will try to address the most popular basement renovations: basement renovations are actually the most practical type of renovations due to the fact we have existing foundation, floor, and ceiling joists that can be utilized. The most inexpensive basement renovation would be to seal and paint the existing walls, leaving them painted as is. If the slab floor is smooth we could simply apply a concrete paint or epoxy. The ceiling depending on height (code is 7 foot from floor to ceiling, but inspectors often will allow less clearance) can be finished with just paint, if the client doesn't mind seeing the joists. Drop ceiling type that is extremely practical because it allows access to plumbing and electrical. Another and most popular type of renovation is for sheetrock. This is the most formal, but is one of the most expensive due to extreme labor; installing, taping, three coats of spackle, sanding then applying primer and paint.
