Lighting types need to be selected, and usually a combination of types of lights are best and should include practicality combined with esthetics and mood. The electricians should be invited to meet with the builder and homeowner to offer suggestions. If there is not room in the electrical panel, but enough power coming into the house, either the service needs to be upgraded or a sub panel installed. The latter being much less expensive than a service change. Recepticles and switches have to be chosen, using style and decor. Dimmers certainly set nice mood settings and are very in-expensive. Specialized recepticles such as Quad, 220 and local over counters and behind appliances have to be considered.
